A Message From Our Church Elders

Centerpoint family,

We have found ourselves in a situation that we have never experienced before. Our community is navigating the COVID-19 (or novel coronavirus) pandemic. Over the last several days, we have prayerfully sought wisdom from God, health experts, government officials, and other leaders in our faith community.

In light of what we have learned (as of Sunday, March 22nd)

ALL CHURCH EVENTS & GATHERINGS ARE SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. As decisions are made for the days ahead, we will immediately update this page and provide alerts on our social media platforms. This page will be our primary communication platform of full details for all Centerpoint updates regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. Please familiarize yourself with the information sections below:

Worship Service Adjustments: this section details all the adjustments that will be implemented when Centerpoint Community Church's worship services resume

Calendar Changes: this is where all postponements and cancellations will be listed and updated

How Can I Help?: Is God moving your heart to action? This is where you can find out more of what to do next

Worship Service Adjustments

These adjustments will be made when our Sunday worship services resume:

  • Coffee & Donuts

We will not be serving donuts in our lobby for the foreseeable future. Coffee will be dispensed with assistance from a volunteer wearing gloves.

  • Drinking Fountains

All of the drinking fountains at Centerpoint are being turned off. We will be providing bottled water in the church lobby to keep people hydrated. Of course, you are allowed to bring your own water with you.

  • Extra Cleaning

Every week, our facility is cleaned with commercial grade products to keep you and your family safe. For the foreseeable future, all frequently touched objects and surfaces in the areas of any gathering will be cleaned immediately to ensure your safety.

  • Giving

The tradition is to pass on offering plate through all seating areas in the auditorium to collect donations of cash or checks. This method has been suspended. There will be boxes inside the auditorium doors where you can place your donations.

Please keep in mind, it is likely that tangible needs will arise outside of our monthly budget due to this COVID-19 health emergency. We will need your financial support to meet both our recurring needs and the circumstantial needs during this time.

    You can give online HERE

  • Greeters & Ushers

We are asking our greeters, ushers, and all attendees to refrain from shaking hands at church. It may seem odd, but please respect the desire of others to ensure that they and their loved ones stay healthy.

  • KidCheck System

There will be a member of the KidsTowne team at the KidCheck station to check your child in for you. Please do not touch the check in computer. We are trying to eliminate any extra chances of spreading germs.

  • KidsTowne Classrooms

As each child enters their classroom, they will be taken to the sink to wash their hands. Additionally, any individual supplies used for teaching activities will be pre-sanitized and placed in individual containers for each child.

  • Seating

We ask that each household sit at least 6 feet (in all directions) away from others in the auditorium
