Reopening plan for

sunday worship services

These are the adjustments that will be made when our

in person Sunday worship services resume:

  • Children's Ministry

    Our KidsTowne Ministry will take place during the 2nd Worship Service only. All Children must be checked in at the Lobby Check-in Station. Children in Nursery Neighborhood & Toddler Trail will be in their traditional locations.

    Four year olds - 5th graders will be relocated in New Rooms that allow for social distancing. For further information, contact Jayme Klein, Children’s Ministry Director @ 303-902-9819 or the church office.

  • Church Services

    2 worship services will be offered on Sunday mornings at 9 and 10:30. The services will be 45 minutes in length. The building will be properly sanitized before both services begin.

  • Communications

    Additional signs, screens, and digital content will be used throughout the building to inform and encourage everyone in the building to adhere to the new operational policies for Sunday worship services.

  • Communion

    Communion trays will not be passed through the rows of seats to the audience members for the foreseeable future. All appropriate precautions will be taken when communion is served again.

  • Employees & Volunteers

    Employees and volunteers must exercise social distancing when in the church. Employees and volunteers are strongly encouraged to wear a face covering unless:


    • They are on the stage
    • They have underlying health conditions that prohibit them from wearing one


    Each person will be screened upon arrival with a non-contact infrared thermometer and asked screening questions to ensure they are not exhibiting any known symptoms or have had proximity to someone who tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days. Each person indicate in writing that they are symptom free. Anyone with a temperature over 100.4° F or exhibiting any of the listed symptoms will be sent home. 

  • Entering & Exiting The Building

    Attendees will enter through the main north entrance doors one person or household at a time. The front doors and the sanctuary doors will be propped open so no one will need to touch or come into contact with any surfaces.


    Attendees with mobility impairment will be permitted to enter the building through the handicap accessible entry on the west side.


    Once the church service is finished, attendees will be asked to exit the building immediately. The doors will remain propped as well so no contact is necessary.

  • Face Coverings

    Per the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment, all attendees are strongly encouraged to wear a face covering inside the building. Attendees that have underlying health conditions that prohibit them from wearing one are exempt. Children 3 and under are exempt.

  • Facility Cleaning

    Prior to the next use, all used areas of Centerpoint will be cleaned and sanitized:

    • All high contact areas: sinks, counters, handles, dispensers, etc
    • All rooms used by children’s ministry
    • All seats used in the auditorium will be sanitized
    • All worship team and tech booth equipment will be sanitized
    • All restrooms will be cleaned and sanitized
  • Giving

    Offering plates will no longer be passed through the rows of seats to the audience members during the worship service. Offering boxes will be available to use any time at all of the auditorium entrances. Online giving is still available at centerpointarvada.org/give

  • Online Worship

    When in person worship services resume, online worship will not be available simultaneously. The recording of the worship service will be uploaded in the afternoon.

  • Reservations For Attending Worship Services

    Due to the CDPHE guidance for places of worship, we will be operating at a limited capacity for our in person worship gatherings. Each teen and adult attendee will need to reserve their place for attendance prior to their arrival. Space is limited and will be filled in on first come first serve basis.


    Reservations can be made on the Eventbrite webpage (CLICK HERE). Reservations can also claimed by calling the church office at 303-422-1612 during business hours (Tu-Fri 8am-4pm).


    PLEASE NOTE

    Reservations are filled in real time. Call in reservations will be confirmed provided that online reservations have not already filled the requested service to max capacity. 


    On Friday: the reservation call window will close at 3pm to allow the Office Administrator to finalize preparations for the upcoming worship service.

  • Restrooms

    Restrooms will be open but will be limited to one person at a time use. We will provide the necessary materials and ask the individual to sanitize all surfaces they’ve touched before they leave the restroom.

  • Social Distancing- Auditorium

    Attendees will be asked to sit ONLY IN OPEN ROWS while keeping 3 CHAIRS BETWEEN THEM and the next individual or family. Attendees will be asked to select seats in order of “front to back” in the auditorium. Households will not be asked to adhere to social distancing measures while sitting in the auditorium.

  • Social Distancing- Lobby

    The serving of coffee and donuts has been suspended indefinitely. All drinking fountains in the building have been turned off. Bottled water will be available at the coffee cart. 


    All furniture has been removed in order to provide the maximum amount of open space. Attendees are asked to gather for conversations in the parking lot instead of the lobby.

  • Ushers & Welcome Team

    Ushers:

    • Distributing bulletins (if used) and pens while wearing gloves
    • Assisting attendees in finding available seating (per social distancing)
    • Provide guidance for use of offering boxes (no longer using offering plates)

    Welcome Team:

    • Continued welcoming of all attendees to Centerpoint
    • Discouraged from hugging or shaking hands
  • Youth Ministry

    The youth ministry has developed a specific set of procedures to resume regular activities in their area of ministry. These procedures have been coordinated with both the Board of Elders and the families that have their kids in youth ministry. For further information, contact the Youth Pastor.
